3rd Annual Plates for Paws
February is a month of love—and what better way to show love than by preventing pet overpopulation? World Spay Day and Spay-Neuter Awareness Month remind us that spaying and neutering save lives, reducing the number of homeless animals and ensuring pets live healthier, happier lives. Join us for the 3rd Annual Plates for Paws benefitting SpayKind!
WHEN: Tuesday, February 24, 2026
WHERE: Stay tuned for additional restaurants
How it works: On World Spay Day, February 24th, dine out at any of our restaurant partners, and 10% of their proceeds will be donated to SpayKind (formerly Humane Solution). In addition, we will host an online raffle and auction full of great prizes to further benefit our program!
Last year, SpayKind provided spay-neuter vouchers and surgeries for over 3,000 cats and dogs, including feral cats, easing the burden on our shelters and rescues. Your simple supper helps us continue working toward a future where the cycle of unwanted litters is broken, every pet has a loving home, and essential veterinary care is accessible to all, regardless of income.
Let’s dine together, celebrate our furry companions, and make a difference!

Test Your Knowledge for a Great Cause
Help us close out our World Spay Awareness month with a fun Trivia Night hosted by Incendiary Brewing Company. Incendiary is so onboard with spaying and neutering your pets to reduce pet overpopulation, they are dedicating an evening to help us raise funds. Join us for “Play to Spay” Trivia Night on Wednesday, February 25, from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. Teams of up to 8 are welcome! The suggested donation is $5 per person, or you can bring paper towels or puppy pee pads. While trivia starts at 7:30, come and enjoy the fun earlier. We’ll be there!
All proceeds go toward spay-neuter
surgeries for pets in need.
DORIS DAY
How World Spay Day Began
World Spay Day began with one woman’s determination to change the fate of millions of animals. Legendary Hollywood performer and lifelong animal welfare advocate Doris Day was deeply distressed by the number of healthy pets euthanized each year simply because there were not enough homes.
In 1978, she founded the Doris Day Animal Foundation, which later launched Spay Day USA to address the root cause of pet overpopulation. What began as a national initiative has since grown into World Spay Day, a global movement raising awareness about the lifesaving importance of spaying and neutering.
Thanks to Doris Day’s vision, countless animals have been saved, and communities around the world continue to make meaningful progress. At SpayKind, we are proud to carry this mission forward by expanding access to affordable spay-neuter services—helping prevent pet homelessness before it begins.
