IF YOU HAVE A FERAL CAT THAT YOU ARE FEEDING OR ON YOUR PROPERTY, CONTACT US FIRST. PLEASE DO NOT TRAP THE CAT UNTIL YOU HAVE THE VOUCHER AND AN APPOINTMENT AT THE VET.

Humane Solution Spay-Neuter Program offers reduced cost vouchers for spay-neuter surgery to underprivileged pet guardians and feral cat caretakers. If you need help with the rescue or placement of animals or are in need of veterinary assistance beyond spay-neuter, please visit our Community Resources page to find fellow organizations that may be able to help.

Starting on January 1st Feral vouchers will be $45. The ear tip, vaccines, and flea treatment are still included with the voucher.

Humane Solution Feral Cat Program

Humane Solution’s mission is to end euthanasia as a means to control the pet overpopulation crisis. This philosophy also applies to feral cats. Humane Solution believes that feral and community cats should be able to live out their lives in their habitat and that controlling their population is crucial to their health and welfare. Is Your Cat a Feral Cat?

Is your cat(s) friendly or approachable by humans other than the feeder/caretaker in any way?
Will the cat let anyone other than the feeder/caretaker touch it?
Will the cat allow you to place it in a carrier safely?
If you answered “NO” to these questions, then your cat would be considered feral and eligible for this program and you may fill out the application at the bottom of this page. If you answered “Yes” to these questions, please apply for our Pet Spay Neuter Voucher at this link (Pet Spay Neuter)

What is TNR (Trap, Neuter, and Return)?

What We Offer for Feral Cats

Vouchers for $45 which can be used at participating veterinary hospitals. Vouchers include surgery, rabies and distemper vaccines, flea medications and mandatory ear tip (The tip of the left ear is cut and is a universal sign that the cat has been spayed or neutered which makes them easily identified as having been through the TNR process).
Trap loan for $80 REFUNDABLE deposit (per trap) collected at the time the trap is picked up
Microchips for $15
Some limited assistance with actual trapping
Phone assistance with trapping questions
Limited assistance with transportation
Limited assistance with overnighting before and after the surgery

What We Require for Feral Cats

Agree to continue or begin to provide food and water to this colony.
Purchase vouchers for the cats in the colony.
Vouchers expire after 1 year.
Make your appointments with participating vet hospital AFTER you receive your voucher.
Please DO NOT trap the cat more than 24 hours prior to your appointment time.
Take the cats to the vet in a HUMANE TRAP – cats in carriers will not be accepted.
Take your voucher to the vet at the time of your appointment.
We require that cats be kept indoor for the night before and after the surgery.

If you choose or switch to a different partner vet hospital, services beyond the surgery will not be included with the voucher and you will be responsible for the extra cost.
