Why This is Important
North Carolina has one of the highest healthy pet euthanasia rates in the country — a heartbreaking statistic that can be changed. While our gala was a huge success, these statistics are what we hope to change. At SpayKind (formerly Humane Solution), we believe the most powerful way to reduce and ultimately end healthy pet euthanasia is through accessible spay and neuter services.
SpayKind has been making an impact for 25 years! For a quarter-century, we’ve provided low-cost spay and neuter vouchers to low-income pet guardians and caretakers of community (feral) cats—preventing suffering before it begins.
Last year we had a sell-out gala. Clearly, this community understands what they need to do to make our pet community healthier and our human community happier. Thank you, everyone.
