For 25 years, SpayKind (formerly Humane Solution) has helped thousands of families and pets access affordable spay-neuter services, and SpayKind Spay-Neuter Clinic is the next chapter of that mission.
Opened in July 2024, the clinic successfully performed almost 2,000 surgeries before temporarily pausing to rebuild key staff roles. Now, we are in the final stages of reopening, and your support is critical to help us restock medical supplies, surgical equipment, and provide safe, high-quality care from day one.

Why SpayKind Matters
North Carolina ranks in the top 5 state in the nation for the largest number of healthy animals killed in shelters. Your donation helps us raise the funds needed to keep the SpayKind Spay-Neuter Clinic operating, so feral cats, shelter pets, and owned pets most in need can receive safe, compassionate, and affordable care that prevents unwanted litters.
The SpayKind Spay-Neuter Clinic helps prevent unwanted litters, reduces shelter overcrowding, and gives pet guardians access to essential veterinary care they otherwise could not afford. However, maintaining a surgical suite is expensive, from sterile instruments and anesthesia to medical equipment and ongoing medical supplies.
This spay-neuter clinic opened for the first time in July 2024 and successfully performed almost 2.000 surgeries of cats and dogs before temporarily pausing operations to rebuild key staff roles. Aside from this small, part-time crew of skilled veterinary professionals and clerical support, the surgical suite is powered entirely by dedicated volunteers. We are thrilled to share that the clinic is preparing to reopen soon, allowing us to resume providing affordable, life-saving spay and neuter surgical services.
This effort will support SpayKind (formerly Humane Solution) in raising funds for the SpayKind Spay-Neuter Clinic, located in Winston-Salem, NC.
